How to start a virtual visit, what every control in the call does, and what gets saved to the chart afterwards.

A visit room, inside the chart
No Zoom. No invite codes. Open the calendar event and you are in the room - chart, recording, and chat already attached.
Telehealth in EnWella is built into the visit, not bolted on. There is nothing to install for you or the patient: the room opens in any modern browser, the chat is encrypted and saved to the visit, and the recording — when you turn it on — lives inside the chart, not on a third-party server.
Starting the visit
Open the calendar, click the virtual event, then Open visit room. EnWella authorizes the visit and opens its Google Meet space in a new tab. Google Meet manages camera and microphone permissions.

Providers and patients use the same Google Meet destination. Each person completes the familiar Google Meet device check and joins according to the clinic’s Meet access settings.
In-call controls
Mute, camera, backgrounds, captions, screen sharing, participant access, and leave controls are provided by Google Meet. Keep EnWella open separately for the chart, visit note, secure messages, and patient widgets.
Recording and the chart
Encrypted at rest. Only your care team and this patient can play it back. Never sent to any third party for transcription, training, or analytics.
Google Meet is configured to generate a recording and transcript for virtual visits. Google Meet displays its recording and transcription indicators to participants and stores generated artifacts according to the connected Google Workspace account’s retention and access policies.
When connection drops
Google Meet handles reconnecting when a network changes or briefly drops. If someone leaves unexpectedly, they can use the same EnWella visit action to reopen the Google Meet space while the visit link remains active.
After the call
Return to EnWella to complete and sign the visit note. Google Meet generates enabled recording and transcript artifacts in the connected Workspace account. If the patient never joined, mark the event as "no-show" or "attempted contact".
