The Calendar is where appointments live. This article covers the day/week/month views, appointment cards, drag-and-drop rescheduling, and the settings that control what you see.
Day, week, and month views
Use the toggle in the top-right to switch views. Day view shows 15-minute slots with patient names and visit types. Week view shows a condensed grid — good for spotting gaps. Month view shows appointment counts per day; click a day to jump to day view. Your preference is remembered per device.
Appointment cards
Each card shows time, patient name, visit type (intake, follow-up), format (in-person, telehealth), and status. Colors: blue = scheduled, green = checked in, yellow = in room, gray = completed, red = cancelled/no-show. Hover to see the full details; click to open the appointment drawer.
Drag and drop
Drag an appointment to a new time slot to reschedule. The patient gets an automatic email/SMS notification (if they opted in). Drag to the "Unassigned" area at the top to unschedule without cancelling. You can only drag appointments you have permission to edit (your own or if you have manage_calendar).
Filters and providers
The left sidebar shows providers and resources (rooms). Check/uncheck to show/hide. Use the filter button to narrow by visit type, status, or location. Admins can see all providers; regular providers see themselves plus any staff they supervise.
Creating appointments
Click any empty slot to create an appointment. Pick the patient (or create new), visit type, and duration. The system suggests the default duration for that visit type; you can override. For telehealth, check "Send meeting link" to auto-generate the video room.
Calendar settings
Click the gear icon to open settings. Here you set your working hours, buffer times between appointments, default appointment lengths, and which visit types you offer. Changes apply to future appointments only; existing bookings are not affected.
