When a clinic invites you to their patient portal, you control whether to accept. Here is what you are agreeing to and how to back out cleanly.

What is shared when you accept

Your name, date of birth, contact info, and any records the clinic creates from then on. Records from other clinics are never shared with this one unless you explicitly send them.

Accepting the invite

Sign in to your portal

No passwords. Pick a method.

Lost access? Use a magic link from another device, then remove the lost one.

Pick whichever sign-in matches how you use the portal - you can have all three on one account

Open the invite link or go to Invites in your portal. Tap Accept. You will be asked once to confirm — that is the consent moment, and the same screen lets you pick how you want to sign in from now on.

Declining or removing access later

You can decline before you accept, or revoke access from Account → Connected clinics any time after. Revoking does not delete the records already at the clinic — for that, contact them directly under their HIPAA right-to-amend process.
