Your public clinic site: pages, reviews, and the AI chat assistant
How the public clinic site is built from the same data you already maintain, how patient reviews are aggregated and replied to, and how the AI chat widget converts visitors without a phone call.

Your clinic's public site is not a separate marketing tool you also have to keep in sync — it is rendered live from the locations, providers, hours, and insurances you already maintain in EnWella. The Website page in Establishment is where you tune the parts that are unique to your storefront: domain, hero, FAQs, footer policies, and the AI chat assistant that picks up the moment a visitor lands.
What the public site is
Establishment → Website opens a slide-in builder with a live preview. Three columns on desktop, single column on mobile. The site itself lives at your custom domain (or *.enwella.site until you connect one). Anything you change shows up in the right-side preview before you save.
What auto-syncs from the rest of EnWella
You do not maintain providers, hours, or insurance separately for the website. Locations sync from Establishment → Locations. Providers (with photos and bios) sync from Role access. Accepted insurances sync from your billing setup. Reviews sync from the Reviews module. If you add a new location on Tuesday morning, your "Locations" section on the public site has it by the time you refresh.
What you actually edit
Domain (custom or default subdomain), hero (photo + headline + subhead), FAQ accordion (also emitted as JSON-LD for Google), footer documents (privacy, HIPAA notice, terms — link or upload PDF), social handles + footer text, and About pillars (3–4 differentiator cards: "Same-day visits", "Bilingual care", etc.). That is the entire surface of the builder — the rest is data-driven.
Reviews and replies

"Booked online at 10pm and saw Dr. Yu the next morning. The intake forms were already done — fastest visit I have ever had."
The Reviews page shows the aggregate (average stars, total count, star-distribution histogram) plus every individual review with the patient's display name, date, rating, and comment. Each review has a Reply button — replies appear publicly under the review. Reviews are gated behind the reviews billing feature; without it the page renders the same UI in a blurred preview behind a See plans overlay so you can decide whether to upgrade. Reviews are not silently filtered: a 1-star review shows the same as a 5-star review, and your reply is the only mechanism for the public to see your side.
How reviews get collected
Patients are invited to review automatically a few hours after a completed visit (the cadence is configurable per visit type — disable it for sensitive specialties). The invitation links to a one-tap rating screen on your domain; reviews above 4 stars get an additional gentle prompt to also post on Google. We never gate the public form by rating, never hide low reviews, and never write replies on your behalf.
The AI chat assistant on the public site
Riverside Family Medicine
AI assistant · usually replies in seconds
A chat bubble lives in the bottom-right of every page on your public site. Visitors who tap it talk to an AI assistant grounded in your clinic's knowledge base — the same FAQ entries and policies the AI Frontdesk uses on the phone. It can answer hours, address, accepted insurance, what to bring, and "do you treat X". When a visitor wants to book, the chat hands off to the booking flow with the right visit type pre-selected; when they ask something the AI is not allowed to handle (clinical advice, prices you have not configured), it offers to transfer to AI Frontdesk by phone or to leave a message that lands in the same inbox as a missed call.
Chat guardrails
The chat is anonymous by design — no patient login, no PHI exchanged. Conversations are capped at 12 turns and 1000 characters per message; rate-limited per IP. Transcripts of every conversation are retained on your side (Establishment → Website → Chat log) so you can spot common questions to add to the FAQ or to your knowledge base, but the visitor sees no history when they reopen the widget. The chat will never quote a price you have not configured, never give clinical advice, and always identifies itself as the AI assistant on the first turn.
Who can edit
The Website builder is gated by managepracticesettings. Reviews replies require manage_messaging. The chat log is visible to anyone who can read the Website page; replying to a review is logged in the audit log with the responder's name.
