Payer payments are recorded by hand in EnWella: when a remittance arrives, you enter its figures on the claim. Nothing is fetched from the clearinghouse or posted for you.

Posting a payer payment

Open the claim the remittance is for and choose Edit payment values. Enter the insurance payment, the patient responsibility and any write-off, then save. The claim moves to Partially Paid or Paid as those amounts cover what was billed, and the patient responsibility becomes the patient's invoice. There is no payments inbox and no queue of unmatched remittances: one you have not entered is not in EnWella.

Manual posting

Billing → Payments → Post manually. Match to invoices line-by-line. The remainder can be applied as a credit or refunded.
