Elation is a popular EHR for Direct Primary Care (DPC) clinics — the most common reason our pilots cite for switching is the per-seat cost (~$275/seat/mo). How to export from Elation

In Elation: Settings → Practice → Data Export. The export bundles patients, appointments, problem list, medications, allergies, immunizations, and chart notes (as both structured fields and a per-note PDF). Elation typically delivers within 24 hours. Drop the ZIP into EnWella's migration wizard.

Panel-size considerations for DPC

DPC panels are typically small (200–800 patients per provider) and the per-patient chart depth is much higher than average primary care. This means: more chart documents per patient, more historical notes to preserve, and stricter expectations on note formatting. We move every note as a PDF attached to the chart, and we preserve the structured fields (HPI, ROS, PE, A&P) into EnWella's note editor so you can continue editing them in our native format going forward.

DPC-specific billing

Elation supports membership-based billing alongside insurance. EnWella has a native subscriptions module — we migrate the active member list with renewal dates and payment-method tokens (Stripe-to-Stripe transfer where possible; otherwise patients re-authorize on next renewal). If you also bill insurance for non-member visits, both flows continue working in EnWella.
