The dashboard is your home base. It shows today's schedule, pending tasks, recent patients, and alerts that need attention. This article walks through each section and how to use it to run your day.
Today's schedule
The top card shows your appointments for today — time, patient name, visit type, and status. Click any appointment to open the chart or join the telehealth room. A blue dot means the patient has checked in; a green dot means they're in the waiting room.
Tasks and reminders
Tasks appear from multiple sources: unsigned notes, pending lab results, prior auth requests, and manual reminders you create. Each task shows who it's assigned to, the due date, and the patient (if applicable). Click a task to jump to the relevant page. Check the box to mark complete — this is auditable and appears in the patient's timeline.
Recent patients
Quick access to the last 10 patients you viewed. Useful when you're bouncing between charts during a busy clinic. The list persists across browser sessions, so yesterday's patients are still there when you log in this morning.
Alerts and notifications
Red badges appear for urgent items: unsigned notes past 24 hours, critical lab values, appointment requests waiting for triage, and eligibility checks that failed. Click the bell icon in the header to see the full list. Dismiss alerts you've handled — they won't come back.
When the dashboard is empty
New practices see a checklist instead of data: "Add your first patient", "Set your availability", "Connect your calendar". Each item links to the relevant setup page. The checklist disappears automatically once you've completed the basics.
